It is with deep sadness that we are sharing the news that Brian Galloway passed away on July 16, 2025.

As those who worked with him will remember, Brian was committed to helping clients in any way he could. It brought him great pride to be their trusted advisor and many of us benefited from his mentorship.

His vision and leadership laid the foundation for the firm we are proud of today, and he played an integral role in shaping our culture and success. He will be remembered with great respect and affection.

As Brian was known to say “Life is short, drink the good wine!”

The Greater Vancouver Food Bank was set up as temporary relief to the hunger crisis in the 1980s and has grown significantly in the four decades since. Today the GVFB provides assistance to approximately 13,000 people monthly across Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster, and the North Shore.

For every dollar raised, the GVFB can double the purchase of local, fresh and healthy food that supports individuals and families experiencing food insecurity, and their 118 Community Agency Partners including: housing agencies, women and children's shelters and after-school programs.

January 2022 Update: The team at GBCo remains focused on the health and well-being of our colleagues, clients and the community as a whole. As the situation regarding COVID-19 continues to change, we are adapting too.
 
We have implemented procedures to ensure our environment remains as safe as possible. These procedures include social distancing and providing means for much of our staff to work remotely when possible, increased sanitation within the physical office, and using technology to facilitate meetings and communications with clients. As part of these procedures, we are limiting in-person meetings as much as possible, but we are setup and able to accommodate in-person meetings should video or telephone conference meetings not be an option or preference.
